Kuih Lapis. Steamed Kuih Lapis is a popular snack in Malaysia and Singapore and it literally means layer cake in Malay. When I was a little girl, I enjoyed eating this kuih by peeling the different coloured layer by layer. This Kuih Lapis recipe was adapted from a Chinese coobook ~ Malaysian Delicacies.
Leave Kuih Lapis to cool completely after steamed and invert the cake pan to knock out the kuih.
Grease knife with little oil before cutting.

Ramuan
- 1 1/2 cawan tepung beras.
- 1/2 cawan tepung gandum.
- 1/2 cawan tepung jagung.
- 5 cawan cecair (1 cawan santan pekat + 4 cawan air).
- 1/4 sk garam.
- 1 cawan gula (boleh kurangkan jika tak suka manis).
- 1/4 sk air kapur.
- Perwarna hijau.
- Pewarna merah / sirap rose.
